Faculty of Design
The Faculty of Design consists of three departments: Graphic Design, Design of Environment, Fashion Design. The faculty tasks, first of all, are comprehensive development and education of young creative personalities and the rendering basic professional training built on the traditions of Lviv Art School.
The main directions of Graphic Design department activities include: graphic design of books, magazines and advertising editions, illustration, posters, packaging, branding, information design, web design and interfaces design. The mastery of classical techniques of indoor graphics, in particular gravure, study of computer graphics, theory and practice of font design, mastery photography become the basis for complex projects implementation or are developed and deepened as course papers and theses.

Design of Environment department has extensive experience in training specialists in designing public and individual interiors.
Today, the department delivers such important and relevant disciplines as:
“Engineering Networks in the Interior”, “Composition”, “Design”, “Computer Design” (Adobe Photoshop, 3d Max, AutoCAD, CorelDRAW), “Fundamentals of Architectural Design”, “Interior Coloristics”.
The motto of Fashion Design department is the development of national traditions in contemporary clothing, the inheritance of the ideas of the Ukrainian fashion founders in Galicia in early 20th century. The department development is close to the principles of humanization and globalization of education, disciplines interpenetration, techniques mobility, activation of different directions of simulation and orientation onto the creating artist. The best-known graduates shaping the face of the Ukrainian fashion include: Roksolana Bogutska, Oksana Karavanska, Oksana Mukha, Rusha Polyakova, Olena Dats, Anna Bublyk.
